Typically a silk textile found in Chinese culture, Mudcloth has been a long time favorite of the Donghia Design Team. Mudcloth is now developed into a sturdy cotton suitable for upholstery and drapery. Vegetable root dyed cotton is buried in mud fields in the Far East, as the weeks go by the mud oxidizes the color of the fabric and Mudcloth is created. This textured age old patina that is created is Donghia’s alternative to traditional leather upholstery.
