The Miao people of Guizhou province in south-west China are known for their centuries old tradition of elaborate embroideries and decorative textiles - Carly is subtly based on a Miao baby carrier from the 19th century. Beginning with the carrier’s elaborate geometric motif, the Donghia Design Team has modernized and minimalized it, to get what you see today - a beautiful, modern abstract motif, which retains a sense of its Chinese origins.
