Brocatelle construction, often reserved for the most luxurious of damasks, creates surface height and dimension. The unexpected amorphous shapes, like puzzle pieces, seem to float on the surface. Fancy slub yarns add texture and surprise dots of color in the background, while tonal strie warp adds interest to the patterning. Mid-weight.     The fabrication of "Carousel" is as mesmerizing as its kaleidoscopic appearance. A structure similar to matelasse is cleverly "stuffed" with chenille yarns, adding dimension and weight. The same chenille yarns serve to outline each hexagonal motif, achieving the look and feel of quilted goods. This truly new-to-market and technically brilliant weave beckons upholstery usage.     Hinson's famed "Fireworks" print is reimagined as dazzling embroidery. We enlarged the scale considerably and used two colors of silky rayon yarn for dramatic effect. Colors shimmer and seem to change with movement and light. The ground cloth is a mid-weight linen with a rayon embroidery. In 8 colors.
